For £6 it’s OK – not the best bronzer I’ve tried, but it is a drugstore bronzer, so it’s nice and affordable.
My favourite method of application is a beauty sponge, as it’s effective at applying a light yet even layer, and doesn’t disturb your foundation underneath. However, if you prefer an intense bronze or contour, the ELF Putty Bronzer Feelin Shady shade might not be a good pick for you, as it’s very sheer and natural. I don’t mind a subtle glow from a cream product, but it’s a touch *too* shiny for my liking, and I find myself applying translucent powder over the top to try and tone down the almost greasy skin looking glow. The formula supposedly contains argan oil, which I guess is what gives the bronzer to be ‘shiny’ on the skin. This ELF Putty Contour a lot dewier than I thought it would be. It’s a nice cool toned, light bronzer which works both as a bronzer, and as a contour shade on skin as fair as mine too. I chose the ELF Putty Bronzer in the shade ELF Feelin Shady, which is the palest shade from the eight ELF Putty Bronzer shades available. That actually surprised me as the jar feels tiny, but 10g is a decent amount of product, especially for only £6. The ELF Cream Bronzer is packaged within a clear plastic jar, with a black lid, and you get 10g of product. Other drugstore brands could definitely take note, with brands like Maybelline or L’Oreal thinking two shades of bronzer is sufficient for all skintones. It’s so inclusive, and the shade range looks fantastic, with super light and super deep shades. The ELF Putty Bronzer is available in eight different shades, which is amazing for a drugstore brand. Plus, it’s infused with Argan Oil and Vitamin E for moisturizing, nourishing, and skin-loving benefits while you glow.“ The formula is lightweight, non-greasy, and highly pigmented, letting you build an all-over warm complexion or just a kiss of golden hour contour. This ELF Bronzer Putty is an unique creamy putty-to-powder bronzer effortlessly blends and blurs into skin, delivering a natural bronzing effect with a smooth, semi-matte finish. If you have a darker skin tone you might have to really build these shades up to get them to work for you.“ Bask in that sun-kissed, back-from-vacation glow all year round. Especially if you are a light to medium skin tone. You can pop in a blush from the blush palette that elf has available in the same packaging, which I think is an awesome option for if you're on the go or traveling a lot.
The four powders can be popped in and out so that you can easily customize this palette. The palette is about palm sized with a huge mirror. I was very pleasantly surprised with how beautifully smooth te powders were and how easy they were to apply and blend. You can get a very dramatic contoured face with this product, without it looking caked on or stripey. They all blend on into the skin beautifully for a very natural look. I am going to demonstrate you how you can use the Elf contouring & bronzing powder + I included a little review + if it's worth buying or not. The bottom left contour color has a hint of orange while the other is a cooler darker brown. The top right color has a touch of yellow to it. The dark is more grey tones so it does still work amazing on fairer skin. The shimmer shade is the top left off white color. I have light medium skin and it works great. Three of them are matte and one is a shimmer. ELF Contour Palette (6) includes four different powders. All four of these shades are matte, super finely milled and not super powdery. A cream colored powder that is nice for setting concealer or for a subtle highlight shade. The palette comes with a nice cooler toned powder that is the perfect contour shade for lighter skin tones.
